A Red Team is not defined by a list of tools, but by its ability to represent an adversary within an agreed scope. The operating model connects a business question to technical hypotheses that can be tested without losing control.
From objective to hypothesis
An objective such as “assess the resilience of a critical identity” must become observable conditions. The hypothesis describes a possible path, its preconditions and the evidence that would confirm or reject the risk.
Decision cycle
objective → hypothesis → controlled action → evidence → decisionEvery action should produce useful information. If it does not change confidence in a hypothesis, it probably adds noise.
Operational discipline
The team maintains traceability, communicates deviations and stops activity when unexpected boundaries appear. Quality is measured both by what is found and by how it is found.
